Lisa and Roslyn Gillespie long dreamed of creating a beauty line that would embody the essence of Asian traditions that they remembered from their childhood. In 2006, they began to realize this dream, beginning work on a line of natural, holistic skin care remedies. The Thai-American sisters then teamed up with Marie-Eve Cadouin and Florence Jaffre, leading consultants for Asia’s spa industry. Utilizing their combined business backgrounds, spa experience and many years exposure to the health and beauty practices of the region, the four women launched Akhassa’s retail collection in August of 2006. The team followed their retail launch with creation of their collection of professional products in 2009.

Akhassa is a reflection of the founders’ desire to introduce modern beauty products based on the natural benefits of herbs, plants, fruits and essential oils indigenous to Asia. Akhassa’s paraben-free formulations capture the ambiance of Asia with unique fragrances and therapeutic value.
